Prana House Reiki & Massage is a sole proprietorship and was built for the purpose of serving the community of the Greater Grand Rapids area. It strives to bring awareness to the concept of holistic wellness and to bring the stress level down a notch, one client at a time.

I attended massage school at N.I.T.E in Mt. Pleasant, MI at 19. I went through a year long program there while attending FSU in my hometown of Big Rapids. N.I.T.E's program required us to attend a weekend-long class one weekend a month. You'd think being stuck in class all weekend would be torture for a 19 yr old, but I couldn't get enough. Those were the best weekends of my college career. I believe God puts a desire in our heart and a gift in our hands-He wants us to use it.
A desire and a gift.
I worked for a gym for a year when I finished massage school. And later for a posh spa for several years, during which, Reiki called and I answered by attending my first Reiki class in Southfield, MI at the International Center for Reiki Training. Reiki changed everything. It put a healing power into my hands that transformed my massage, beyond just meeting the physical demands of the body, but unlocking the emotional constraints holding those pains in place.
Working for others taught me many things and I will always be grateful for those lessons. I still reminisce about the day I heard that still, small voice whisper Go, start your business. I think it will always be my favorite day.
That still, small voice.
